Our Community
Welcome to Brooklyn!
The Jericho Walkers' church was founded in Brooklyn, NY where it remains today. Brooklyn is a community of long-time resident and new transplants - and we invite everyone to our services. There's nothing like hearing different languages spoken on the streets and learning about new cultures from one block to the next, making friends with the neighborhood bodega cat, or laughing with your friends and neighbors on the stoop during lazy summer evenings. This borough is home to some of the best people in the world. We are happy to call it home.
Our Philosophy
Jericho Walkers helps facilitate each person’s individual and unique expression of their relationship with God. Our arms are wide open to accept, welcome and love everyone. It is our hope that you feel the love of God— a deep, welcoming, accepting love—when you join us for service.
God loves us deeper than we can ever imagine. We honor the love God has for us by sharing our hearts, rolling up our sleeves and opening our arms. This means we worship AND we get to work in our community. We have faith to bring down the walls that are built between the people around us and God.
We know that we cannot do this work without everyone’s voice. Our partnerships are inclusive of all ethnic backgrounds, faiths, abilities, and orientations. We are committed to serving and fighting for justice—particularly for those who are often marginalized in the church and society as a whole.
Our Mission
Jericho Walkers loves God and people. We are inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit and follow the expressed teachings of Jesus through worship, social justice and service. We are a “church without walls” because we believe we are called out into the community to partner with others to heal, love, serve and fight for those who need it most. We strive to do all we can, with what we have, to live out that purpose.

Our Members
God loves each and every one of us. Whether they come dressed up or dressed down, old, young, single, married, LGBTQ and heterosexual people of all backgrounds and paths join hands together in our worship service. We believe we demonstrate the love of God by opening our arms to everyone. If you’re deeply enamored with God, hurting and feeling lost, or not even sure what God is all about, this is the place for you. Our congregation ranges from devout Christians to questioning believers and curious observers.
